Čeká vás večer plný největších operních hitů, povnášejících melodií, strhujících pěvěckých výkonů, srdcervoucí árie a ansámbly. Představení mladých umělců z Prague Summer Nights Music Festival, muzikantů a novodobých hudebních umělců z celého světa. Orchestr a sólové zpěváky bude dirigovat mistr John Nardolillo se speciálními hosty z Opery Legend bariton Sherrill Milnes, Maria Zouves a James Burton. Během večera představí hvězdy zítřka za doprovodu celého orchestru 30 nejlepších zamilovaných árií.
Kromě představení Don Giovanni je hlavním tahákem festivalu grand Opera Gala ve Stavovském divadle představení Mozarta a Duruflé s Anchorage Concert Chorus v prostorách Smetanovy síně, vystoupení Sour Angelika v kostele Sv. Šimona a Judy, kde působil Haydn a Mozart, představení komorní hudby a písňových recitálů v Muzeu Antonína Dvořáka v Praze a také kabaret v pražských jazzových klubech. Orchestr se navíc představí na festivale Českého národního symfonického orchestru Prague Proms v proslulé Smetanově síni v programe zahrnujícím významné orchestrální díla W.A. Mozarta, jež sám v Praze dirigoval nebo napsal. Součástí programu je Symfonie č. 38 Pražská a Clarinet Concerto, a sólo klarinetista z Berlinské Filharmonie Waltera Seyfartha. Všichni zpěváci v programu budou koučování Sherillem Milnesnem a také budou mít lekce se členy fakulty. Zpěváci se budou podílet na inscenačních zkouškách a přípravě představení, obdrží kurz italské dikce a budou mít také příležitost pracovat na repertoáru Dvořáka, Smetanu, Janáčka a s koučmi a zpěváky z Opery Národního divadla.
Instrumentalisté budou mít možnost hrát komorní hudby, včetně hudby Dvořáka, Smetany a Janáčka a budou mít lekce a mistrovské kurzy od principálů a členů České Národní symfonie, Pražské symfonie, České filharmonie a hlavních orchestrů z Německa a Rakouska. Instrumentální hudebníci budou také mít možnost soukromé lekce od předních světových učitelů z pražské konzervatoře, kde byl ředitelem Antonín Dvořák.

Opera Gala : Music by Puccini, Strauss, and Mozart
An evening of opera's greatest hits, soaring melodies, rousing choruses and heartbreaking duets, arias and ensembles. Featuring the young artists from Prague Summer Nights Music Festival, and musicians and emerging artists from around the world. The orchestra and singers will be led by Maestro John Nardolillo, with a special guest appearance by Opera Legend Baritone Sherrill Milnes, Maria Zouves and James Burton. The evening will feature over 30 different best lover arias by the stars of tomorrow accompanied by a full orchestra.
The young students will also have additional programs at the Prague Proms Festival in Smetena Hall, in the Antonin Dvorak Museum, and in Historic jazz clubs and churches of Prague. The festival highlights include a grand Opera Gala in the Estates Theatre, a performance of Mozart and Duruflé with the Anchorage Concert Chorus in Smetana Hall, a production of Suor Angelica in St. Simon and Jude church, where Haydn and Mozart performed, a performance by the orchestra at Smetana Hall, chamber music and song recitals in the salon of the Antonin Dvořák Museum in Prague, and a cabaret in one of Prague’s famous jazz clubs.
Sherrill Milnes is universally acclaimed as the foremost operatic baritone of his generation. With his powerful voice and commanding stage presence he sang over 650 performances at the Met, where he was honored with sixteen new productions, seven opening nights, and ten national telecasts. Mr. Milnes is the winner of three Grammy Awards, and is the most recorded American singer of his time. In 2008 he received the Opera News Award for Distinguished Achievement. Driven by his dedication to make the vocal arts vibrant, vital and entertaining in today’s world, Mr. Milnes continues to give master classes, judge competitions, and mentor new generations of singers. With his wife, Maria Zouves, he co-founded and runs the Sherrill Milnes VOICE Programs: VOICExperience Foundation and the Savannah VOICE Festival provide training for aspiring young artists while fostering new audiences for the arts.
